Questions to ask a close friend

Friendships rarely get the structure couples get. One question a day, answered separately and revealed together, keeps a friendship honest and current across cities and busy seasons.

Free for the core experience. Answers stay private until you've both shared.

A few of the questions

From the daily pool and the first-questions pack for this kind of relationship. You each answer on your own; the reveal happens when both are in.

  1. Question 1

“How are you doing, really — not the version you give at work?”

  2. Question 2

“What's a small win you haven't told anyone about yet?”

  3. Question 3

“What's something you'd want me to notice if you were struggling?”

  4. Question 4

“What's a way our friendship has changed you?”

  5. Question 5

“What's a fear you'd only admit to a close friend?”

  6. Question 6

“What would make you feel more comfortable asking me for help?”

Common questions

Does it work long-distance?

That is where it works best. You each answer whenever you like, and the reveal happens the moment the second answer lands, in any time zone.

Can they see my answer before I see theirs?

No. Each of you answers in private, and neither answer is shown until both are in. That rule is enforced in the database, not just the app, so there is no way to peek.

Is it free?

Yes. Every relationship type, the first questions, a new question each day, reveals, discussion, quizzes and challenges are free. An optional Premium plan adds AI reflections, and one plan covers both people.

Do we both need the app?

You both need an account, but it is a website that works on any phone or laptop. Send one link; they sign in and you are connected.
